Getting Started with Muvri
Welcome to Muvri! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and getting the most from your personal performance tracking platform.
Creating Your Account
To get started with Muvri:
- Visit muvri.com and click "Get early access"
- Enter your email address and create a secure password
- Verify your email through the confirmation link we send
- Complete your profile with basic information (name, date of birth, primary sport)
Setting Up Your Profile
Your profile helps Muvri provide accurate analysis and personalized insights. Key information includes:
Basic Information
- Name: How you'd like to be identified in Muvri
- Date of Birth: Used for age-graded performance calculations
- Weight & Height: Optional, but helps with calorie and power estimates
- Primary Sports: Running, cycling, swimming, or multi-sport
Privacy Settings
Muvri gives you complete control over who sees your data:
- Private: Only you can see your activities and PRs
- Friends only: Share with people you approve
- Public: Anyone can view your training data
You can change these settings at any time, and you can set different visibility levels for individual activities.
Importing Your Training Data

- Garmin Connect (via API or file export)

Adding Your First Activity
There are several ways to add activities to Muvri:
GPS Watch Sync
Connect your GPS watch to automatically sync new activities:
- Go to Settings → Connected Devices
- Select your device manufacturer
- Follow the authorization steps
- Activities will sync automatically after each workout
Manual Upload
Upload activity files directly:
- Click "+ Upload Activity" from your dashboard
- Select your GPX, TCX, or FIT file
- Add activity details (name, gear, notes)
- Click "Save Activity"
Setting Up Gear Tracking
One of Muvri's most valuable features is automatic gear tracking. To get started:
- Navigate to Settings → Gear
- Click "+ Add Gear"
- Select gear type (shoes, bike, etc.)
- Enter details:
- Brand and model
- Purchase date
- Starting mileage (if used)
- Replacement threshold (e.g., 500 miles for running shoes)
- Assign gear to past activities if needed
Going forward, Muvri will automatically track usage and remind you when gear needs rotation or replacement.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your Muvri dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your training:
Weekly Summary
- Total time and distance
- Number of activities
- PR attempts this week
- Freshness/readiness score
PR Timeline
See all your recent personal records with context about when and why you were fastest.
Gear Status
Quick view of your active gear and usage levels.
Recent Activities
Your latest workouts with key metrics.
Exploring PRs and Segments
Muvri automatically detects PRs across routes and segments. Learn more in our Understanding PR Tracking guide.
Creating Your First Segment
- Open any activity with GPS data
- Click "Create Segment" on the map
- Drag markers to define start and end points
- Name your segment and click "Save"
- Muvri will automatically check all past and future activities for this segment
